Friday Nights at the White Knight's

| Draft night! |
On the first Friday of each month is a Magic the Gathering draft tournament, where you pick cards from packs as they get passed around the table, then build a deck with your cards and compete in a tournament with that deck. Then once it's over, you get to go home with your new cards! Draft nights at the WKGR are small, but players still have fun with deck building and playing games, with small banter between games and an overall friendly atmosphere. If you have the money to spare and know anything about MTG, go check out the draft night on the first Friday of the month, it'll be fun!
Every Friday night, there are MTG commander nights. These are more lively than the draft nights, as you don't have to pay to participate. Players fit their deck's power to the rest of the table, such as, when someone has a weaker power deck, the more experienced players play their worse decks to make sure it stays fun for everyone. They are held in the same room as mentioned before, or in the fancier room in the back. "I'm a big fan of playing Commander," says Geoff, a frequent customer at the WKGR.

Also held in that fancier room every Friday is one of two alternating tabletop RPGs, Dungeons & Dragons and Wildsea. The DM, Shaun, is friendly and understanding of newcomers. He actually helped me create a Dungeons & Dragons character for the campaign he is running. He was very patient with me as I looked through the options for my character and asked for clarifications on rules. The players are cool too. When I mentioned I was going to be playing a ranger, someone said "I didn't expect for a ranger to be joining the campaign," and we all had a good laugh about it. They said it was fine and the important thing is to have fun with the class I want to play as.
If you're interested in tabletop games of any kind, you should check out the White Knights! Fridays are often busy days and a great time to play Magic the Gathering, but there's a lot more events throughout the week, you just have to ask an employee about them. Whatever game you're interested in, there's a good chance the White Knights Game Room has it.
