BTS ARMY Let's Go

BTS Members Debut

    BTS is a globally known K-pop group that was form off of dreams and hopes of a couple young teenagers and a label, and now, it grew into what it is today. They have built one of the biggest support groups or fandoms in the world called ARMY. All of these fans would stream their music, attend concerts, social media things, and creative fan projects. Some of the things that creates such an amazing and supportive fanbase is their meaningful lyrics, and amazing performances that will leave people's mouth wide open the entire time. For this reason, their fandom, has become a full built community where people share their creative freedom, support one another, and have loyalty for the group. As a person who is a fan currently and was in the fandom previously, I would say there are multiple ways to get more involved and making it worth every second of your time no matter what you are doing like being more active on social media, participating in the insanely cool fan projects, and collecting and trading their merchandise. 
    

    One of the many ways to be more active and engaging in the BTS fandom is to fully participate in their online fandom communities and social media. ARMY are normally very active and quick through their socials like Tiktok, Instagram, X, and even Youtube. This is where they would post videos of BTS, make fan edits of them, memes of their phrases, fan art, and even have discussion posts about BTS related content where anyone and everyone are able to join in and voice their opinions. By first of all, joining these pages, and then engaging in them, it allows you to build a closer relationship with other fans across the world who share very similar interests and opinions. Furthermore, you are able to even talk about possible theories relating to music videos, like if they are hinting at something deeper or even showing a possible new album in the most recent music video. You can also join viewing parties where you stream their music or watch livestreams of the group members together, rather than just watching it alone.

    Moreover, another  possible way to be more active in the fandom is to immerse yourself and participate in the concert culture and fan projects. Throughout their time on tours, performing different concerts, they are mainly known for their once in a lifetime shows, but more importantly, coordinated fanchants and other fan projects. These could be things from just chanting each member's names, forming a synchronized ARMY light bomb show, to even creating a project that require the participation of thousands of fan prepared banners. Doing these types of things allows a member to be more so connected and excited when it comes to these things. It can have true meaning behind all of this and make an impact on the fans, fandom, and concert experience. Even if you or other fans are not able to attend the in person concerts, there are still a large amount of fans that have live streams where you can join and celebrate or just watch what is going on through any apps of social media.

   The last push so that fans can be more involved are to get their merchandise. This means moreso collecting and trading BTS merch and photocards that are sold everywhere. Many ARMY members tend to collect things like albums, photocards, posters, and even merch from concerts since it can help them feel like they have a closer bond their favorite group, BTS, and even the fandom itself. Some of the fans want to share what they have ordered and received so they would film things like unboxing videos for everyone to see and share. In addition, they might even fill their rooms with decorum and trade with one another if they have seen something online that they may truly want but do not have. Even if it is something small as a little photocard, it can turn into forming a connection and maybe possible friendships. This is one of the most fun and yet engaging ways of an ARMY to be more active in the fandom and participate with other fans. Instead of them just streaming the music by themselves, some fans even start group calls and share what types of albums they have and play it for all of the other members of the call, creating a genuine connection amongst one another. 

    In the end, there are certainly many different ways of being a more active fan and fandom member of BTS, but the one thing that all of these have in common is not a lot of time needed. ARMY members can show their love and support for their favorite group just by being on social media, watching concerts either in person or online, and just trading the things they have collected from being an ARMY with each other. Doing this makes everyone in the process feel more connected and allows friendships to form from it. As a fan myself, I believe that it was very easy to be active in the fandom in particular. I was able to share all that I had with others, and expressed my creativity with new people from around the world. It even gave me the chance to meet others and make memories that will last a lifetime. Being an active member not only means watching BTS more, but it is about building friendships and memories along the way.
